Camille Lauren Russler
My art illustrates how I see the world through the context of my life growing up sailing in the vibrant cultural environment of Miami Florida surrounded by the tropics and ocean. The wind is a major source of inspiration for me. In various artworks, I focus on the movement and the constant flow of the wind along across landscape. Through my work I hope to convey a part of the energy that brings beauty and complexity to our world. My brushstrokes and mark-making convey various colors and energy of memories and places I have encountered in my life. Through my art, I hope to share a vision of the vibrant mystic beauty of world while noticing and being informed by art historical perspectives and the present moment and climates which encapsulate day to day life.
